The requirements for having a license and such a document are set out in the Traffic Rules. But the requirements for experience are an innovation, and it is justified by the fact that the one who teaches must be able to safely and effectively operate a machine or motorcycle of the corresponding category and subcategory in various driving conditions. And also demonstrate management methods and techniques.

In addition, for the first time, the requirements for so-called instructors state that they should not have serious violations of the Traffic Rules, for which they will be deprived of their rights, for at least 5 years. Inveterate reckless drivers and violators have no place in this profession.

For training, the master must now be able to use pedagogically sound forms, methods, methods and techniques for organizing practical driving training. And also own modern technical teaching aids and educational technologies. Moreover, all this takes into account the age and individual characteristics of the students.

For the first time, requirements have been made that he must master the methodology of teaching people with disabilities, including wheelchair users, for whose training manual control is used. If at least one of the conditions is not met, the instructor may lose his job.

And this is a mandatory requirement for the profession, for failure to comply with which you can also lose your position,” says Tatyana Shutyleva, president of the Interregional Association of Driving Schools. — He must constructively resolve contradictions and conflicts that arise in traffic, manage his emotional state, apply techniques and methods of effective communication in his professional activities, and comply with the norms of pedagogical ethics.

He must also be able to develop a working driving training program, know the rules, legislation, the content of educational standards and training programs, and labor protection requirements in motor vehicles.

“All these requirements say that a driving teacher must now be a high-class professional,” says Tatyana Shutyleva. — Special training programs have been developed to train such specialists. These are additional professional programs for retraining and advanced training.

And in accordance with the new standard, craftsmen must now improve their qualifications once every three years.

We can only hope that with the release of the standard, the high demands now placed on industrial driving training masters will raise the entire process of driver training to a new level.

Now, according to the Road Safety Strategy, the goal is to reduce the number of road accident victims to four deaths per 100 thousand population by 2024. Now this figure is 14 dead.
