State duty for replacing a license: how much does it cost and where to pay?

What does a sample form look like?

If the transfer of the state fee for issuing a driver’s license is carried out at a banking institution, then the motorist will need to enter certain information into the receipt. The service for entering data into a payment slip for obtaining a driver’s license is provided by a financial institution. For a fee, employees of the banking structure will fill out the form. A sample receipt is provided below.

The state duty when exchanging a driver's document is transferred through a bank terminal. You will need to enter your payment details yourself or select from the drop-down list. This method of transferring money does not require the creation of a payment slip. After completing the procedure, the terminal issues a check to the user. It indicates the details of the car owner and the recipient of the funds. An example of a check can be found below.

Another method of paying the state fee for replacing a license is an electronic wallet. The user will need to indicate the data requested by the system. After making the payment, you should print the receipt. Without it, it will not be possible to prove the transfer of state duty.

On payment of the state fee for issuing or replacing a certificate

The form of the receipt for payment of a driver's license has a standard form. The top block of the document contains information about the entity accepting the payment and its details. This is followed by information about the bank accepting the payment, account number, BIC, KBK, OKTMO should also be indicated. Below is information about the applicant for rights and payment parameters. The information is duplicated in the lower block of the receipt.

For an international driver's license

If a motorist intends to use vehicles to travel outside the state, then he can obtain driving documentation in an international format (plastic card). The state duty is slightly lower. The sample form is no different from the one presented above. The method of entering data into the payment order is also similar. The differences are in the form of payment; in this situation, the issuance of an international certificate should be indicated.

The cost of paying the state fee for registering a vehicle

There are several types of state fees to register a car, the cost of which may vary depending on your needs and preferences. Below we will consider the cost of car registration in different situations.

The state fee for registering a car with obtaining new or previously saved license plates at the request of the car owner will cost 2,850 rubles. Of which, 2,000 rubles will have to be paid for obtaining new license plates and 850 rubles for registering the car.

The desire to transfer the same number from one car to another will cost the car owner 5,700 rubles. Since you will have to start by replacing the license plates of the old car, and then fill out documents to save the license plates at the traffic police department. The second stage is to again pay the state fee for registering a new car.

It will be much cheaper to register a car if you buy it on the secondary market while preserving the license plates already on the car. The state duty for such a procedure is only 850 rubles. Thus, if a car is re-registered, it will retain the license plates that were previously issued, so there is no need to pay a fee on the license plates.

Registration of a motor vehicle, for example, a motorcycle, and obtaining license plates for it will cost 1,850 rubles. Since only one number is required for motor vehicles, as well as for trailers. Therefore, the fee for license plates is 1,000 rubles, and vehicle registration is 850 rubles.

Another type of fee is for changes to data in the PTS. The cost of this fee is only 850 rubles.

If the registration certificate for the car was lost or damaged, then the procedure for issuing a duplicate requires a fee of 800 rubles. Of which 300 rubles will be spent on obtaining a new registration certificate.

Where can I get the form?

You can get a receipt at the nearest Sberbank office or another banking institution. But it is worth considering that the amount of the transfer fee varies among financial institutions.

To pay the state fee for replacing a driver’s license, you need to know the payment information of the traffic police department where you plan to obtain a license.

Also, employees of a banking organization, at the visitor’s request, can independently fill out the form on the computer. The average cost of this service is 50 rubles.

Car owners can take a blank payment form for the transfer of state duty at any post office or at a department of the State Traffic Inspectorate. It is given free of charge, without reference to the driver’s place of registration.

How long does the duty last?

The fee is valid until you receive your driver's license. This rule applies even if several years have passed between payment and receipt of the document. For example, you paid for the state fee in 2021, but then you did not apply for a license for one reason or another. You have the right to use the same receipt later, for example, next year 2019.

If your traffic police department's payment details have changed or you decide to apply to another department, you will have to pay the fee again.
