What needs to be replaced?

Changing the place of residence imposes responsibility on the person who moved: he will have to deal with changing the information in some papers.

Documents that indicate the address at the owner’s permanent place of residence are subject to re-registration.

Documents intended for amendments include:

Passport . After the process of changing the address of residence, a special mark is placed in it in the form of a seal, which confirms attachment to the new address for residence.

Changes to the title deed . If the person who moved owns real estate, then changes need to be made to the Unified State Register.

A change of place of registration is an adjustment of the residential address, according to which a new stamp is placed in the passport.

Registration deadlines

There are certain time frames for changes in documents:

a stamped passport will be issued three days after submitting the documents;
changes to the vehicle registration certificate are made on the same day the person applied for the procedure;
Entering new data into the Unified State Register takes 3 days;
registration with the pension fund takes 3 days;
Changing the information on your military ID will take about 5 days.

The deadlines for making changes to each of the documents are different, but they must be taken into account.

Documents for registration of a car or other vehicle

If a citizen owns a car, then after completing the registration procedure at a new address, you need to drive up to the traffic inspection department, fill out a form for making changes and give the registration document to replace it. You must have with you:

Vehicle passport.
Passport with a note about the new place of registration.
Insurance policy.

Who needs to be notified?

After registration, you should contact the clinic in order to register and get a card for services there. A mandatory requirement is to notify banks and insurance companies if a citizen has loans and insurance. This condition is specified in the loan or insurance agreement, so the borrower must follow the prescribed rules and contact the banking or insurance organization to enter information about his new location.

If a person is entitled to a pension benefit, then he needs to notify the territorial office of the Pension Fund. In accordance with current legislation, the responsibility for notifying authorities about a new registration rests with registration service employees. If necessary, the Main Directorate for Migration Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will make all necessary notifications to the structures.

List of documents that do not require changes

Not all documents for which registration was indicated need to be changed. For some of them, the Main Directorate for Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will automatically transmit information and changes will be made without the participation of the registered person.

No need to change:

TIN and SNILS certificate;
international passport;
driver license;
extract from the Unified State Register of Real Estate (document confirming ownership);
birth certificate;
bank and insurance cards;

The compulsory medical insurance policy also does not change. A change of registration leads to the need to change the clinic to which each citizen or resident of the Russian Federation is assigned. What doesn't need to be changed?

Bank cards

Many bank clients are interested: do they need to change their plastic cards or not? The answer to this question depends on how far the client plans to move. What remains in its original form?

TIN;
health insurance policy;
pension insurance certificate.

Many people who have changed their place of registration are interested: is it necessary to change the TIN or can they keep the old document? The answer to the question will be Article 84 of the Tax Code of the Russian Federation. According to this regulatory document, the TIN, regardless of the place of issue and residence of the person, will continue to be valid. Therefore, its replacement is not necessary.

If we are talking about a compulsory health insurance policy, then it is valid throughout the country, the only rule is the obligation to attach to a clinic located at the place of new residence.

All of the above documents are not subject to mandatory replacement after registration. The only question is the issue of replacing bank cards and accounts, but the decision on this issue is made by the moving person independently.

What documents should I change when changing my registration in 2021?

During a procedure such as changing your registration, it is important to understand that you will also need to change your documents.

Often, the total set of documents that need to be changed includes all the papers that indicate the citizen’s registration.

It is worth considering that adjustments will necessarily be made to the following documents:

Passport.
A certificate that proves ownership.
A certificate that reflects the registration of the vehicle. What if you don't submit the papers?

If the registration process is completed, but the documents have not been submitted to make adjustments, the citizen faces a fine. A citizen may receive a fine in the absence of appropriate changes :

if there is no mark on the military ID - a fine of 500 rubles;
if the personal car registration certificate is incorrect – 1500-2000 rubles.

If we are talking about a passport, then a stamp not placed on time is not grounds for receiving a fine, but only if the registration measures were carried out in accordance with the current legislation.

Documents requiring amendments

Registration of permanent registration at a new place of residence entails the need to correct documents where the old address was indicated. Additionally, pensioners will have to re-register so that they can receive a pension at home.

Information about the new registration must be entered in:

passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation (immediately upon registration, free of charge);
military ID - 14 days (issued without state duty);
permission to store weapons - 14 days (fee 500 rubles per weapon);
vehicle registration certificate (VRC) and technical passport (PTS) - within 10 days, 350 rubles for PTS and 500 rubles for STS.

There is a special procedure for foreigners. When changing your registration, if a residence permit has been issued, you must annually send a notification to the Main Directorate for Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation and report this. We are talking not only about permanent, but also about temporary registration. There is no need to change the residence permit or temporary residence permit (TRP).

Passport with registration stamp

The end of the permanent registration procedure is the issuance of a passport to the person, which indicates a new registration stamp. There is no need to register anything separately. This is done within 3-8 days, depending on the place of submission of documents.

Certificate of ownership

The certificate of ownership has long been replaced by extracts from the Unified State Register of Real Estate. Information is entered into the register automatically after registration at the place of residence. This data is transferred automatically and the registered person does not need to do anything.

Military ID

A change of permanent registration leads to a change in attachment to the military registration and enlistment office. After registering, you must register with the military at your new place of residence within 14 days (even if you just moved to another area). To do this, they first contact the old military registration and enlistment office. You need to have with you:

After changing your attachment, the military registration and enlistment office itself will send a request about your personal file, so you don’t need to go anywhere else. Upon completion of the procedure, a special notification will be issued. This document will have to be submitted to the military registration and enlistment office at the new place of registration.

Those who are exempt from conscription, are in prison, women, and those who are already serving in the army, hold the rank of officer, or are in the reserves do not need to change their assignment. A citizen of the Russian Federation is obliged to change his registration even when changing temporary registration (not only permanent registration).

Documents for the car - vehicle registration certificate

According to Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation No. 1001 “On the procedure for registering a vehicle,” a change of registration is confirmed by the traffic police. You need to change your data within 10 days. The STS requires complete replacement, as it is a laminated card. It is impossible to make changes to such a document; it must be replaced with a new one.

To replace:

Visit the traffic police MREO at your new place of residence.
Write an application for the issuance of a new STS (sample here).
Make changes to the PTS (in a new column).
Contact the insurance company and make changes to the compulsory motor liability insurance policy.

The procedure takes place on the day of application. You cannot ignore the requirement for adjustment, since after 10 days you have the right to be fined.

Permit to store weapons

If you are the owner of a weapon, you must come to the local Ministry of Internal Affairs within 14 days and replace the storage permit.
